New Babies!! Toronto Adoption Photos

Airport arrival photos have not been happening as often as I would like, international adoption is moving at a crawl these days, unfortunately.  I was so happy to be there for these two occasions, these are truly my most favorite thing to capture on camera.  Fills me with inspiration.  If you are arriving home or meeting your domestically adopted child and are interested in FREE photo coverage for your family, be sure to contact me.

Wildflower Children's Photographer - Georgetown Ontario

There is almost nothing sweeter than little girls and flowers, they just love to be together.  True story, I was driving to deliver some images to a client at 6pm last week when I saw this gorgeous field of white, yellow and purple wild flowers.  Just so happened at that time of day the sun was hitting this hill in THE most magical way.  I almost drove off the road staring at it, and then I could not stop thinking about it.  I am telling you it looked so perfect it was as if there were pixies dancing in the air above it.  As soon as the weather cooperated I high tailed it back there with one newly minted 4 year old Yoyo to do her birthday photos.  Later that weekend we also had another golden hour moment in my very own back yard.  Fall has come too early around here, but I can't complain about the view mother nature has gifted us!

Baby's First Year - Mississauga Photography package Part 2

You may remember baby Ava from her newborn session back in the early spring.  Her parents have signed up for the most economical way to document her ages and stages with portraiture. Did you know that the baby's first year package is completely customized?  I lay out a suggested series of four mini shoots, maternity, newborn, six months and smash cake, but as long as we get 4 shoots into 18 months time, we can make you a personalized plan.  Adoptive parents this counts for you too! It can also document baby's first year home.

Boys at play portrait session in Georgetown Ontario

I had met this family once before, last winter, so I knew that two of the most adorable strawberry blonde boys were about to spend an hour with me and my camera, I was pumped! 

Mom wanted some family portraits of the boys in their immaculate matching button up shirts.  So we did that we explored the gardens of Willow Park, picked wild flower bouquets for their mom, the boys played chase in a field of evening light, stopping occasionally to let my lens up close to capture their gleeful eyes.  As we moved onward to do some frog hunting down at the pond I quietly asked their mom if she would object to stripping them down and letting them play in the creek with me.  I just had this vision, I was worried she would think I was crazy, and she might have, but we were in the last 10 minutes of the session we had gotten tones of great shots, so she agreed and the 3 of us traipsed into the creek with some paper boats, and permission to get dirty!

The resulting images are some of my very favorite, to me, they capture these brothers in this moment of time and innocence, a moment that is simply the very image of boyhood.  Thanks Janis for letting me get creative, I love this session.
